Camas School District: The Camas School Board will hold a meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, June 24, at Zellerbach Administration Center, 841 N.E. 22nd Ave., Camas. Survey: Washougal residents satisfied with services

Washougal residents have a positive overall perception of their city but would like to see improved street maintenance and economic development efforts, according to the results of a community survey.

Washougal Councilwoman Tia Robertson gets hands-on firefighting experience

Tia Robertson warily eyed the ladder perched on the side of the eight-story building in front of her with a mixture of trepidation and exhilaration, noting that the situation put two of her deep-seeded convictions into conflict with one another. On one hand, she is terrified of heights, but on the other hand, she is loath to turn away from a good-natured goading.

ECCA collects stories to help build community

The East County Citizens Alliance (ECCA) launched in 2021 as a grassroots effort to identify ways to make the cities of Camas and Washougal stronger, more supportive, more resilient and more joyful by bringing local residents of varying backgrounds together to solve problems and build relationships.

Camas-Washougal high schools celebrate graduating seniors

Camas-Washougal celebrated its class of 2024 high school graduates last week, with five commencement ceremonies held at Doc Harris Stadium, Garver Theater and Discovery High School in Camas and Fishback Stadium in Washougal.

Camas awards $30K from lodging taxes

The city of Camas has awarded more than $30,000 from its lodging tax fund to five groups, including the Downtown Camas Association (DCA) and the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce, for tourism marketing projects.
