District places Camas High principal on administrative leave after Kobe post

Camas School District officials say they have placed Camas High School Principal Liza Sejkora on administrative leave following community outcry over Sejkora’s controversial comments regarding the death of basketball superstar Kobe Bryant.

The announcement came one day after news broke that Sejkora had posted a comment likening Bryant’s death to “karma catching up with a rapist” on her  personal Facebook page hours after Bryant’s Jan. 26 death in a helicopter crash that also claimed the lives of Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter, Gianna “Gigi” Bryant, two other young girls and five other adults.
