Emily Karkanen pushes up on to the beam Saturday, at the Naydenov Gymnastics Center. She helped Camas win a five-team meet against Union, Heritage, Hudson's Bay and Mountain View.
Charlotte Burton completed her first beam routine of the season without losing her balance. The CHS senior earned fifth place in the all-around competition with 33.95 points.
Alexa Dietz flies through the air in her favorite event. The CHS junior placed first on the bars, second on the floor, third on the beam and second in the all-around.
The snow couldn’t keep the Camas High School gymnasts from putting their best foot forward Saturday.
Jax Purwins, Alexa Dietz, Emily Karkanen and Charlotte Burton finished top five in the all-around competition to help the Papermakers defeat Heritage, Union, Mountain View and Hudson’s Bay at Naydenov Gymnastics Center, in Vancouver.
