Crews from Ballard Marine Construction began work Tuesday morning to replace three pilings at the dock at Steamboat Landing Marine Park. The structures were damaged last summer as a result of what city officials believe was a boat crashing into the dock. Due to fish spawing patterns in the Columbia River, the work must be completed by Jan. 1.
